Creating the conditions for meaningful and sustainable change

Organisations, like individuals, can become caught in patterns that create unnecessary stress, reduce creativity and unintentionally undermine the very processes and systems they rely on for growth and development.

We work collaboratively with organisations, teams and communities to explore systemic stressors and strengths, develop shared understanding and support meaningful change.

Our approach is participatory, experiential and strengths-based. Rather than arriving with a predetermined solution, we work with people to identify priorities, explore what is already working, understand what needs to change and develop practical ways forward.

By involving the people affected by change, we aim to strengthen ownership, participation and commitment to learning and implementation. Clear progress indicators and practical, achievable strategies can then help consolidate and sustain change over time.

Organisational Wellbeing

We support organisations to understand the factors that influence wellbeing, resilience and effectiveness across the system.

This may include:

  • Assessment of systemic stressors and strengths

  • Organisational wellbeing and resilience

  • Strategic visioning and values clarification

  • Planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation

  • Team development and team building

  • Creating opportunities for reflection and ongoing learning

  • Identifying patterns that may be unintentionally undermining organisational goals

The aim is not simply to identify what is going wrong, but to understand what is happening, what is already working, and what might need to change.

Training & Facilitation

We provide bespoke, culturally attuned MHPSS training and experiential learning designed around the needs of particular organisations, teams and contexts.

Training and facilitation may include:

  • Psychological First Aid

  • Staff wellbeing and staff care

  • Stress, resilience and emotional regulation

  • Communication and conflict management

  • Team building and collaborative working

  • Creative life skills

  • Psychosocial wellbeing

  • Reflective and experiential learning

  • Cross-cultural MHPSS approaches

Where appropriate, training can be designed to strengthen internal capacity by supporting staff, focal points and teams to develop practical skills that can be used within their own settings.

Team & Leadership Support

Leaders and teams can experience significant pressures during organisational change, periods of uncertainty or difficult circumstances.

We provide facilitation, reflective practice, psychoeducation and team-building support to help leaders and teams:

  • Understand, recognise and respond to stress and wellbeing concerns

  • Communicate clearly and effectively

  • Strengthen team relationships and collective resilience

  • Create space for reflection and learning

  • Re-establish supportive routines following disruption

  • Recognise when additional support or referral may be needed

Leadership support can also help create the conditions in which staff feel able to raise concerns, access support and contribute to solutions.

Critical Incident & Crisis Support

When something overwhelming happens, people and organisations often need support that is immediate, structured, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive to the circumstances.

We provide assessment and stabilisation support following critical incidents, helping individuals, teams and leaders understand and process immediate reactions, restore a sense of safety and identify appropriate next steps.

Support may include:

  • Assessment and stabilisation

  • Individual and peer counselling

  • Psychoeducation about acute and cumulative stress, trauma responses, PTSD and burnout

  • Family support, where possible

  • Leadership and management support

  • Coordination with relevant management, security and HR structures

  • Communication and staff-care guidance

  • Referral and follow-up care

  • Staff-care workshops connecting people with individual and collective strengths

  • Creating safe workshop space to acknowledge & address experiences of moral injury

  • Training and supporting designated Wellbeing focal points

  • Practising emergency response and preparedness steps

  • Reviewing experiences after an incident and incorporating learning into future emergency response plans

Learning from critical incidents

Critical incidents can affect more than individual wellbeing. They can reveal strengths, vulnerabilities and patterns within the wider system.

Where appropriate, we therefore support organisations to move beyond immediate response and ask:

What happened? What helped? What was missing? What can we learn and do differently next time?
